I don’t know why I never watched Friday Night Lights. When I look back at the 2006-07 television schedule, I see that it didn’t conflict with anything else I watched so I don’t have that excuse. Maybe I assumed it would do a terrible job at representing sports, something which has made me turn off a number of movies or shows in disgust. I really don’t know the reason.
I have even fewer excuses for staying away for the past few years. I know tons of people who love the show. I could have rented the DVDs at any time. I should have been watching this show, but I didn’t util it showed up on Netflix streaming.
I just watched the pilot while eating lunch at work. I’m really surprised I didn’t start yelling at the screen. I’m hooked.
