Tom&#039;s does it, but the others I see are mostly independent or smaller stations who need to try and get people there any way they can. Honestly, the most important thing for me is whether someone accepts Amex because I charge all my gas on there so I can rack up membership points to pay for free flights to Vegas.]]></description>

I don’t think credit card fees are the main reason for the for-cash discount.

I think convenience stores/gas stations like Tom&#039;s are trying to get folks inside their doors, where they will be tempted to buy the hot dogs and coffee.
