Nothing really bad has happened today or will happen as far as I know with the exception of people trying to be funny with over-the-top fake stories because it’s April Fool’s Day.
The problem with many of these efforts is that they don’t border enough on believeability to really make you look twice. That should be the gaol – to fool someone. This isn’t a chance to audition for “Blatantly Obvious Pranks.”
I have only ever seen one really good April Fool’s prank in my life. This will be hard to top because it hit all the right notes – gullible victim, believable scenario, surprising prankster with a perfect delivery.
