I usually low-key it on this day, but things have changed so much for the better over the past few months, I’m in a pretty good mood. To celebrate, let’s do some St. Patty’s Day haiku!
Ten o’clock meeting
Wonder if they will care I
Irished my coffee
Shane McGowan’s teeth
Do I have your attention?
Careful what you drink
Go ahead and give it a try!

Here are my feeble attempts:
Want to have a drink
Can’t taste beer due to dumb plague
Please have one for me
Pre-ordered Guinness
Saves time and effort for you
And the bartender
No need to have food
When you’re drinking a Guinness
It drinks like a meal
drunken mad swearing
green beer and corned beef vomit
i’m irish today
St. Patrick first said
“I’m tired of these blank blank snakes!”
Not Sam L. Jackson
the snakes be long gone
now, be ye drunk and profane
all hail st. patrick
Damn, I need to fix that. Good one, Peter.
I don’t think your 1st one’s a true haiku – too many syllables in the 3rd line. Here’s my try:
Drink green colored beer
I stagger from bar to bar
Driving out the snakes
