Right now, I’m ashamed to be an American man. As the political process gains steam, we have abdicated our duty.

Fred Thompson dropped out of the Republican race today.

My disappointment in my fellow man has nothing to do with Thompson’s stance on Iraq or a solution to our energy woes or what he thinks about immigration. It doesn’t even have to do with his acting career.

I’m hanging my head in shame because he has a hot-ass wife, and we let him fail. He could have been part of the answer to the question The Daily Show posted several months ago – Is America Ready for a FLILF?

Why do the men of New Hampshire, Iowa, Nevada and whatever other backwards states have already voted not want to find out the answer to that question?

I have looked at this presidential race a number of different ways, and the only way I could see American men voting was to set up a race between the hot wives of Fred Thompson and Dennis Kucinich. Now, I think that hope has completely faded away with Thompson out of the race and Kucinich a totally whacked out nutjob, albeit one with a hot wife.
